Inglewood Report – France Election – The French left has not won in a quarter of a century.


Nicolas Sarkozy defeated by Francois Hollande in France’s presidential election is a vote for change.  This is the fifth time the people have voted to put a socialist in the Elysee Palace.  Meanwhile, the future French first lady took the opportunity to tweet about her husband’s victory.  Mr. Hollande beat President Nicolas Sarkozy by a clear margin according to pollsters, with about 52 percent of the vote.

Inglewood Report – Mr. Francois Hollande headed for victory today according to polls.

 

The European economic crisis has played a very powerful hand in the defeat of 10 European leaders.  This Sunday Nicolas Sarkozy is considered to be the next in line to be swept from office.  French citizens are considered to have embraced the Socialist plan to recover the republic from further economic collapse.

Inglewood Reports – Polls open across the French Republic in the presidential election.

 

French President Nicolas Sarkozy in a runoff against Mr. F. Hollande.  Mr. Sarkozy is expected to be defeated as many in France are discontent over his inability to keep unemployment down.  The polls indicate that this Sunday runoff will be more about the economy for some than any other topic.

Lufthansa to fly its Boeing 747-8i to LAX after June

Inglewood Reports – Staff Photographer – Lufthansa makes an LAX landing over Sepulveda Blvd.

The New Queen of the Skies, the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental has arrived at Frankfurt, according to Lufthansa press release.  On June 1, Lufthansa – the first airline in the world to take delivery of a Boeing 747-8i, will fly the plane on its first passenger flight to Washington Dulles International Airport. Later in the year the airline will fly the plane to Los Angeles, LAX airport.
